Dr Pearl Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NUS. She has been awarded as Marie-Curie Scholar and Humboldt Experienced Researcher. Her research focuses on many aspects of coastal engineering, including fluid-structure-seabed interaction, breaking waves, sediment transport, scour, liquefaction, and turbulence modelling, with a particular focus on computational fluid dynamics modelling and numerical investigation of coastal engineering problems. She currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Ocean Engineering and Marine Energy, Advisory Editorial Board member of Coastal Engineering, and Advisory Editorial Board member of the OpenFOAM® Journal. She is a regular topic organizer at the annual OMAE (International Conference on Ocean, Offshore & Arctic Engineering) conference. She is also the Chair of the Technical Committee of Climate Change at the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).
