Rita Henderson is Deputy Dean (Societal Impact & Translation) at UNSW Engineering and a Professor in the School of Chemical Engineering, UNSW. Her research interests are on water quality and treatment and algal biotechnology and she leads the Algal and Organic Matter (AOM) Lab, working closely with the Australian water industry. She is an Editor for Water Research and an Associate Editor for the AWWA Water Science journal. Rita is also Chair of the UNSW Sustainable Development Goals Steering Committee.
