Vidhyasaharan Sethu is Associate Dean (Research Training) at UNSW Engineering and an Associate Professor of Signal Processing and Machine Learning in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW. His research interests include speech-based emotion and mental state recognition systems, affective computing, voice biometrics and more broadly the overlap between machine learning and signal processing. He also leads the Signal Information and Machine Intelligence Lab at UNSW (www.simi.unsw.edu.au) and has a strong track record of mentoring doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers.
