Yidong Huang is currently a professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering and vice chairman of Academic Committee of Tsinghua University. She received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in optoelectronics from Tsinghua University. She was chairman (2013-2019) of the Department of Electronic Engineering and is also one of the main founders of the electronic information curriculum system of Tsinghua University.

 

Her present research mainly focuses on the nano-optoelectronics, discovering the novel photoelectric effects and enabling them to solve bottlenecks in the field of optoelectronics by studying the interaction between electron, photon, SPP, as well as phonon in various micro-nano structures. She authored/co-authored more than 300 journal and conference papers and holds 140 patents. She is the founder of H-chip Tech Co., LTD，Seetrum Co., LTD, and Lightfunction Co., LTD.
