Prof. JIAN Sisi

Prof. JIAN Sisi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She earned her Ph.D. in transportation network planning from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). Following her selection for the Rising Stars Women in Engineering Workshop in 2018 as an institutional participant, she joined HKUST in 2019.

At HKUST, Prof. Jian leads the Smart Mobility Group and is affiliated with the GREAT Smart Cities Institute. Her research focuses on smart transportation, shared mobility, network optimization, and market equilibrium.

A recognized leader in her field, she is an Associate Editor for Travel Behaviour and Society and Data Science for Transportation. Her innovative work in smart mobility has been recognized with the Transportation Science Meritorious Service Award.
