Prof. ZHAO Yue

Professor Yue ZHAO is an Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University. She also serves as Vice Dean in Tsinghua Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, which is one of Tsinghua University’s innovation‑service platforms for translating scientific and technological achievements into practical applications. Her research focuses on additive manufacturing and welding of advanced metallic materials. She has over 70 academic papers published. She is the Committee Member of China Welding Society. Additionally, she is the recipient of the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education Natural Science Award in 2013, the First Prize and the Second Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020 and 2023，respectively. She also received the McKay-Helm Award from American Welding Society in 2019.
