Ms. Shixian Geng

Shixian Geng is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems at the University of Tokyo, Japan. She is a member of the Interactive Intelligent Systems Laboratory (IIS-Lab) under the supervision of Prof. Koji Yatani. She holds an M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Information Systems from the University of Tokyo (2022) and a B.S. with a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, USA (2020).

Shixian's research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) focuses on developing collaborative technologies to support mental health. Her primary interest lies in understanding how humans interact with artificial intelligence such as large language models (LLMs) in mental health interventions.
