Dr. Chengyao Zhang

Dr. Chengyao Zhang currently works as a postdoctoral researcher in Department of Urban Engineering at the University of Tokyo. She received her Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Tokyo (Supervised by Prof. Taikan Oki). Her research interests include circular economy issues, plastic waste recycling, energy and low-carbon transition, energy system modeling, and water resource management and planning. Dr. Zhang has published several influential and high-impact papers, including those recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. She is also a recipient of multiple prestigious scholarships, such as MEXT and CSC, highlighting both the excellence of her research and the breadth of her contributions to the field.
