Dr. Xue Cai

Dr. Cai Xue is currently a research fellow at the National University of Singapore. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2018 from the School of Optics and Photonics at Beijing Institute of Technology, China. In 2024, she completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on developing implantable devices for neural modulation and sensing applications. Dr. Cai has extensive expertise in fabricating optical semiconductor devices, particularly at the microscale, as well as designing flexible electronics. She has published a cover article in Nature Photonics as the first author and has contributed to research published in iScience. Additionally, she has co-authored articles in high-impact journals, such as Light: Science & Applications and Nature Communications.
