Prof. Kaori Fujita

Prof. Kaori Fujita graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1993, received Doctor of Engineering in the field of Architecture from the University of Tokyo in 1999. She worked at Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) since 1999 as Research Associate, Assistant Professor (2000-), Associate Professor (2005-). In 2007 became Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, the University of Tokyo and she works as a full professor since 2019. Her research is on the structural performance of historic timber architecture. She works on multiple timber architectural heritage to understand their structural properties against earthquake, typhoon and deterioration.
