Prof Ying Chau

Prof Chau received her BS from Cornell University (1995), MS from University of Pennsylvania (1999), and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2005). Her technical background was enriched by her working experience in vaccine development at Merck Research Laboratories, USA (1995-1999). Her current research interests include the design of drug delivery approaches and biomaterials for ocular applications and cancer targeting, and the self-assembly of nanostructures using polymers and peptides. She is also the Founder of Student Innovation for Global Health Technology (SIGHT) and the current Vice Chairman at the Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization.
