Prof Tai has co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications and has supervised 18 MPhil/PhD theses. Her research interests include geometry modeling and processing, computer graphics, and interaction techniques.  She received her BSc and MSc in Mathematics from the University of Malaya, MSc in Computer and Information Sciences from the National University of Singapore, and DSc in Information Science from the University of Tokyo.
